Quitting the Business of Quitting

I truly believe in the power of reading great books. My track record of completing books and consistently reading isn’t so great.

In the last couple weeks I have been compiling a list of all the books I want to read on becoming closer to Christ, a better wife, a better mother, a better friend, a better caretaker of my body, and fulfilling the purpose God has for my life.

I decided to start with 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit by Nicki Koziarz… because let’s face it, I am not going to be better at ANYTHING, let alone read any books about being better, if I don’t get this quitting thing under control.

And Y’ALL!

The first pages were about a time her husband told her she wasn’t dependable. Oye. Right to the heart. I cried a good while over those first two pages. My husband and I have had the same conversation. It was a hard pill to swallow, but he was so right.

My intentions are pure. My heart is in the right place. A lot of my ideas are great. …..but the follow through. It just isn’t.

If you struggle even a little bit with your follow through on your commitments to God, to yourself, and/or to others, I cannot recommend this book enough.
